Marjorie McKean McKellar A Family History
Marjorie was born a Scottish farmer’s daughter in late 1930 Ayrshire. She was one of five children, and the only one to leave Scotland seeking a new life in Canada. Marjorie was the descendant of farmers, innkeepers, and soldiers. Her ancestral lines include the McKellar, McNicol, Dickie, Malcom, McKean, McGregor, Buchanan, Murdoch, Aitken, Mcdonald, Easdale, Crawford, Carr, Metcalf, Thomson, Daun, Hogarth, Simpson, McIlquham, Spier, Tyre, Main, Brown, Montgomery, Bone, Govan and McKindlay families.
